T-BALL RULES (4 & 5 YEARS OLD)

 

1. There is no crying in Softball!!! (byBy children or coaches)

2. Players and Coaches must smile at all times.

3. Game time consists of a 45-minute practice session and the game will end after 2 hours from the scheduled starting time.a three-inning game. More innings may be played if time and weather permit. No winner will be declared.

4. At the start of the eighth game, coaches will pitch a maximum of 3 pitches. If not hit, ball goes back onto the tee.

5. A batted ball must go at least 10 feet to be in play. A line will be marked on the field to designate this distance.

6. After all players have batted the inning is over regardless of the number of outs. The last batter will clear the bases.

7. There are no strikeouts.

8. Baseline will be 40 feet.

9. Players will play no more than 1 inning at any position.

10. No more than 6 players on the infield at a time and no more than two at the pitcher position. Players at the pitcher position will be at least 20 feet from home. A second line will be placed on the field to designate this distance.

11. Play will stop when a player throws a fielded ball.

12. Base runners may continue running until a ball is thrown. If between bases when the ball is thrown, the runner may continue to the next base at her own risk.

13. A team will consist of at least 6 players. If a team is not able to field enough players, the players from both teams will be pooled and divided equally to play the game.

14. The game will end after 2 hours from the scheduled starting time. The Coordinator will STOP play at the first sign of lightning. The Coordinator will then decide when it is safe to continue the game.

15. An adult female must be present at each game and practice.

16. All players will receive identical trophies at the end of the year.
